Ferrari Showroom

Located on the busy Broadway strip in Newmarket, it’s a very public site owned by Westfield. The project complied with Westfield’s strict safety policies and the Stanley site management team worked closely with the Westfield safety representative to ensure all safety protocol were met. Operations were scheduled around quiet times as necessary to protect both the heavy flow of pedestrians and traffic.

Continental Cars contracted Stanley Construction to convert an old office space into an attractive new Ferrari showroom.

Work consisted of three consents, demolition, structural and the fit-out. New structural steel was installed to support the large sliding doors which allow the cars to be moved in and out of the building. It was critical that the floor was finished to a high standard as the space doubles as a location for car launches and customer evenings. Over two weeks of prep work went into ensuring that the finish was ready for the new tiles to be laid on.

Challenges in the project included adhering to the stringent brand standards expected by Ferrari Australasia/Italy, whilst balancing the tight budget for this temporary building that has an anticipated lifespan of 18 months. The project was handed over on time, a credit to the team, as it ran right through the Christmas and New Year holiday period and put pressure on the team to secure sub contractors to work over that time.

The Stanley team maintained a good line of communication with the client which allowed the project to flow and eliminated any unnecessary holdups. Changes were discussed and prompt signoffs meant the team could continue without delay.
