Golden Bay High School

When an earthquake risk assessment deemed one of Golden Bay High School’s main classroom blocks condemned, a replacement solution was required - urgently. Three classrooms had to be installed and ready for the start of the new term.

No problem for our clever people and clever processes

But to add to the challenge; they had to be re-locatable and were to all be situated in the middle of the school on their asphalt netball courts.

The Stanley team were ready and prepared for this challenge and had four double classrooms put aside at their Modular Factory in Matamata ready to go to Christchurch. The Ministry of Education decided to transfer them to Golden Bay High School which fast tracked the project and alleviated disruption to the school when the classrooms were being installed.

The Stanley installation team based themselves in Takaka for the duration of the job - put in some enormous hours and got the job done. The team met the deadline and by the end of that week had a fourth classroom, plus a brand new toilet block completed and handed over to the school.

The whole Golden Bay community was aware of this project and has been suitably impressed by the huge effort the Stanley team have put in.
