Britomart Retail Showcase

Auckland's Newest Luxury Shopping Precinct

Designing and building this within six months to be ready for the Rugby World Cup was a big ask, but when Cooper and Co added the re-locatable requirement to the order, Stanley Construction was a natural choice for this challenge.  With five building consents, this project demonstrates how teamwork makes everything possible.

Built on top of the Britomart Train Station in the middle of busy downtown Auckland; managing street closures and material deliveries was part of the process. Staff worked weekends and nights to accommodate the central city location and were commended by nearby tenants for their consideration and proactive approach.

The building which houses four prestigious retailers boasts bespoke illuminated punched aluminium cladding, an original facia with high gloss panels along with some modular prefabricated components.

With a five year life guaranteed on this site; this upmarket  precinct has been designed to be totally relocated when the clients require the site for alternative uses. It has been tastefully landscaped with original finishing touches.  A fine example of successful collaboration between all parties.
