RMB 2006– Retail and Business Project

Quality relationships for a quality result

Building relationships was a key to the successful construction of a new-look New World supermarket in Matamata.

At the top of the list was building key relationships with construction joint venture partner Fletcher Construction, and with the client, Foodstuffs. Within the joint venture, Fletcher managed procurement and tendering, while Stanley provided on-site construction and project management.

The Stanley team also built strong relationships with neighbours, ensuring construction proceeded without significant problems with dust or noise.

Stanley’s reputation for flexibility was tested by Foodstuffs confirming store layout and technology at the last minute. Regardless of the challenges, this was designed as a turn-key project. The day after the Stanley team moved out, the store opened for business.
