Traditional procurement for the Gulf Harbour Corporation resulted in a project 100% over budget and with an 8 week construction period.
MPM Projects who have worked with Stanley Modular previously approached Stanley Group to come up with an alternative proposal.
Stanley’s proposal was under budget with a construction period of 2 weeks (1 week off-site and 1 week on-site).
During the construction period amended consent drawings were also produced and an amended consent granted by Rodney District Council.
Stanley’s fabricated the 150m2 building in 3 sections in their Matamata factory. The building was delivered as 3 complete components, ground floor, first floor and roof.
The market opened to the public as advertised with some 2500 visitors on their first weekend of trading.
The Stanley Group is currently negotiating a further 4 Projects for the same Client on the same site, with Modular as the design solution.
