Stretton Clothing

Fashionably finished by Stanley

Annah Stretton IS style. The acclaim for her designer fashion ranges – including ‘Annah S.’ and ‘Garb’ – proves it, and so does her stunning new headquarters in Morrinsville.

A showpiece for Stretton Clothing Co. Ltd, the combined design/ manufacturing/retail complex also showcases the experienced project management and quality workmanship practised by Stanley’s.

The project was part fitout and part construction. Stanley’s took – and stripped – an existing warehouse and then extended it substantially on two sides.

Like the garments produced within, the exterior of the new architecturally- designed building attracts attention. Precast concrete panels bear the pattern of band-sawn timber, and a huge ‘PicPerf’ perforated panel reveals an image that changes as the viewer moves.

The mood inside is created by an elegant spiral staircase, glass partitions, and large chandeliers hanging from the high Zincalume ceiling. Other fittings are more functional, such as the climbing conveyor
belt, a sort of escalator for clothes.

A project that was both challenging and inspiring, the new Stretton Clothing Co. headquarters is a building of which Stanley’s is especially
proud.
